Angel Tree is a prison ministry that was established in 1982, to help spread the joy of Christmas to prisoners’ children. Children are shown the love of God by volunteers who bring gifts, meet physical, emotional and spiritual needs; and teach them about Jesus. And often, the parent in prison may have a better understanding of who God is and begin a relationship with Him. One in 49 children in the U.S. has a parent behind bars.
