Family of UN human rights investigator sues Trump administration over sanctions for Israel criticism
UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The family of independent U.N. investigator Francesca Albanese has sued the Trump administration over U.S. sanctions imposed on her last year for her criticism of Israel’s policies during the war with Hamas in Gaza, saying the penalties violate the First Amendment.
Israel is "about to drag us into another war [with Iran], and all we hear from Israelis and their braindead supporters is 'ANTISEMITE' if you disagree with Israel's agenda," Kasparian wrote.
According to the Gaza peace plan President Trump negotiated between Israel and Hamas, Palestinians will not be displaced from the territory. This is a pivot from Trump’s earlier position that Palestinians should leave and move to other countries.
The bill, if approved, threatens to further strain relations between Israel and the Reform movement, the largest stream of Judaism in the United States.
Israel forces were responsible for 86 of the 129 killings of journalists globally last year, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists.
The Israelis took part in the first two heats of the competition on Saturday, but it was the slowest sled to complete both runs.
